Monthly Tip- How to translate your survey

October 13, 2009 Leave a comment

Suppose you are running a survey simultaneously in France, Netherlands, United Kingdom and Germany. The surveys are exactly the same for statistical reason however the language should be customized to the specific country. Instead of creating 3 different surveys, SurveyToGo now supports running the same survey with multiple languages. You can add a new language, translate the question and answer texts to the new language and then have the survey switch between languages in the field!
You can export the entire survey texts to Excel, have it translated and then import the texts back to the designer (see option 1), or either make in line changing of survey texts (see option 2).

Option 1:
Export the entire survey texts to excel, have it translated and then import the texts back to the designer:

Export from the designer

Translte your survey using excel

Option 2: In line changing of survey texts:

Change the language

Translate the question

The original language

And this is how it will look on the device:

Switching between languages
